Tuitupou Cited

Munster could be about to lose their first choice number 12 after Sam Tuitupou was cited for an incident in the game against London Irish last weekend.

Tuitupou is alleged to have committed a dangerous tackle on London Irish scrum-half Paul Hodgson during the first-half of the game in the Madjeski Stadium on Saturday.

Under Law 10.4(j) 'Lifting a player from the ground and dropping or driving a player into the ground', the IRB recommended sanction on the Low End is 3 weeks; on the Mid Range is 6 weeks and on the Top End, 10+ weeks up to a maximum: 52 weeks.

Tuitupou will appear before an ERC convened Disciplinary Committee on Wednesday in Dublin along with Jamie Cudmore (ASM Clermont Auvergne), Martyn Williams (Cardiff Blues) and Jonny Fa'amatuainu (Scarlets).
